Mali with the CDF Collective

In 2007 the CDF Collective was invited by Malian NGO, L’institut pour l’education populaire, to come and begin photo and multi-media instruction for their students. IEP is an institute dedicated to indigenous language education. The intention was to give students and educators the skills and resources necessary for continuing their development individually and as a community. It has been proven that children educated first in their own language excel in all other facets of literacy. I was honored to work alongside the educators of the Ciwarra school headed by Maria Diarra Keita and Deb Fredo.
