Sounds

Sometimes the volume is a little low, or maybe you’ll need headphones. The voice is me. The words are me. The sound of the ocean. That’s me. And you. This is me, talking to you.

Worth a listen but low volume warning…headphones might help

Love Song, the poem, had a very different name, but as an installation date grew nearer the decision of how to build the “love tent” made the choice for me. Based on the foundations of cyberspace this was a lo-fidelity attempt at understanding those tenets personally. Mathematics, architecture, non-verbal communication and historical references allowed me to construct a type of living diorama. Visitors to the installation, fully titled Love Song 4/22, entered into a world that enhanced and bridged the world reflected in the poem. Visitors were invited to listen with me, alone or with another while we occupied spaces within spaces. Drinking, smoking and lingering were all allowed. The perimeter of the tent was gently electrified to suggest a womb or any other type of portal.
